Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Engineer & Technician for hospital maintenance operations in Oman. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the hospital's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring that all hospital equipment, machinery, and systems are operating smoothly and safely. The role also involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, ensuring that the hospital environment is safe for both patients and staff. Role & responsibilities Preventive Maintenance : Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all hospital infrastructure, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and medical equipment. Troubleshooting & Repairs : Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues in a timely manner. Equipment Management : Ensure all hospital equipment (e.g., medical, electrical, HVAC) is functional and compliant with safety standards. Facility Upkeep : Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. System Upgrades & Improvements : Assist in upgrading existing hospital facilities and infrastructure by researching and implementing the latest technology or best practices. Technical Support : Provide technical support for hospital staff, ensuring they are trained and informed on the proper use and care of hospital equipment and systems. Emergency Response : Be on-call for emergency repairs during off-hours, including power failure, HVAC breakdowns, or plumbing issues. Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed records of maintenance work performed, including scheduled maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections. Coordination : Work closely with hospital management, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient and timely execution of maintenance tasks. Preferred candidate profile Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (for Engineer role) OR a technical diploma in relevant fields (for Technician role). Experience: Engineer : At least 3-5 years of experience in hospital or large facility maintenance, with expertise in managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Technician : 2-3 years of hands-on experience in maintenance roles, particularly in healthcare facilities, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems. Technical Skills: Familiarity with hospital equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, boilers, electrical systems, medical equipment). Strong troubleshooting and repair skills in electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to use maintenance management software and tools. Certifications : Any relevant certifications in hospital maintenance or safety (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical safety training).
