Business Development Manager About The Job This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about building and nurturing long-term relationships. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) with a background in Architecture & Interior Design industry with an emphasis on Corporate real estate sector. Experience in Workplace Design & Build domain would be preferred. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, establishing long-term relationships with key clients, and contributing to the company's strategic vision in the interior design and manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales, design, and delivering high-quality solutions tailored to client needs. Key Responsibilities ∙Business Development: · Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Architecture & Interior Design sector, focusing on key industries like commercial, hospitality, retail, healthcare & education. · Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to meet revenue and growth objectives. · Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their unique requirements and offering tailored solutions. Client Engagement · Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and initial consultation to contract negotiation and project handover. · Collaborate closely with internal design, production, and project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. · Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that clients’ needs are met and exceeded throughout the project lifecycle. Market Research & Strategy · Research, study & Analyse market trends and emerging opportunities in the target segments. · Present a regular MIS update to the company leadership. Key Qualifications · Graduate / Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. · Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or sales within the interior furniture and fitout industry, ideally with experience in commercial, residential, or hospitality sectors. · Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle in interior fitouts and furniture manufacturing. · Established network within the design, architecture, or construction industries is highly advantageous. · Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. · Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to client relations. Preferred Skills & Experience · Previous experience in project management or coordination within the interior design or fitout sectors. · Knowledge of current trends in interior design, furniture innovation, and sustainable practices. · Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools is a plus. Your Role: Collaborate on architectural institutional, industrial projects along with commercial interiors & workplace projects, including programming client needs, concept design, schematic design, design development, and manage budget/schedule reviews. Develop space planning concepts and generate program documents during the various stages of a project. Participate in selection of furniture systems and specifications Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction Utilize technical knowledge and delivery experience for effective documentation and detailing Work with specialists & consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives Participate in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples Manage client expectations, and coordinate team and consultant communications Must Haves: Creativity & Imagination; Strong visualization and conceptualization abilities; Excellent Presentation drawing skills; An eye for design, including colour and good 3D awareness; The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others; Good drawing skills; An interest in changing trends in design; Be an Active Listener; Good project / Team Management skills.
