Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Develop and maintain
3D models
for piping, structural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation layouts in accordance with project specifications and standards.
Review and understand
Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and supporting documentation to determine the required design or model modifications.
Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and related documentation.
Update 3D models and 2D drawings
(layouts, isometrics, GAs, etc.) in accordance with approved change orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with current engineering data.
Revise and reissue design deliverables
affected by change orders, including drawing revisions, updated model files, and material take-offs (MTOs).
Prepare
2D deliverables
such as general arrangement drawings (GA), isometrics, piping layouts, and equipment drawings from 3D models.
Coordinate with discipline engineers (mechanical, piping, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to incorporate design inputs and ensure model accuracy.
Perform
clash detection
and resolve inter-discipline conflicts using model review tools.
Ensure all designs comply with
industry codes, company standards, and safety requirements
.
Assist in the preparation of
material take-offs (MTOs)
and design reports.
Participate in
model review meetings
and contribute to design optimization.
Support the generation of
presentation materials
(rendered models, animations, etc.) when required.
Maintain organized CAD files and adhere to
document control procedures
.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical / Structural Engineering or related field.
6–8 years of relevant experience in 3D modelling and design within the Oil & Gas / EPC industry.
Strong working knowledge of CAD and 3D modelling software, such as: Inventor,

(as applicable).

Familiar with piping design, equipment layouts, and plant modeling practices.
Understanding of ASME, API, ASTM, and other relevant standards.
Experience in Concept and detailed design phases preferred.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
