Job title: Art Director Experience: 6-10 years (Advertising, Branding, Digital, or Creative Design) Role overview The Art Director will lead visual ideation, design execution, and creative storytelling across integrated campaigns and brand initiatives. This role requires a balance of conceptual thinking and hands-on design craft, with strong experience in digital-first brands, integrated communication, and content production. The Art Director collaborates closely with copywriters, designers, strategists, and account teams to design high-impact creatives that deliver on brand strategy and business objectives. Key responsibilities Creative concept & visual strategy Develop design ideas and visual concepts for campaigns across digital, social, print, OOH, and film. Translate briefs and marketing objectives into compelling visual narratives and brand stories. Build strong visual routes (mood boards, references, look & feel, colour palette, photography style). Execution & craft excellence Create layouts, master key visuals, social-first assets, and campaign art systems. Ensure design consistency, visual hierarchy, and strong craft across all touchpoints. Oversee creation of final artwork and guide adaptations across formats and media. Video, film & content production Lead visual direction for shoots: photography, film, DVCs, social content. Supervise video edits, motion graphics, and post-production with editors/motion teams. Develop treatment notes, and on-set supervision. Team collaboration & leadership Work closely with copywriters to build cohesive storytelling (art + copy synergy). Mentor and guide junior designers, ensuring clarity of direction and quality of deliverables. Present creative ideas confidently to internal teams and clients. Tech & innovation Leverage AI-assisted design / GenAI tools (Midjourney, Firefly, DALL•E, etc.) to improve creative speed and visualization. Stay ahead of new formats, content trends, platform requirements, and design technologies. Project & delivery ownership Manage multiple projects and ensure timely delivery without compromising design quality, and accurate release of files and specs. Ensure all deliverables follow brand guidelines and visual identity systems. Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to express ideas visually and emotionally. Excellent command of design principles - typography, colour theory, layout, composition. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Figma/XD. Understanding of motion design principles (bonus if hands-on). Experience in supervising film shoots, video edits, and post-production workflows. Familiarity with AI design tools for visualization and mockups. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Effective collaborator and communicator; able to persuade and present clearly. Educational qualification Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Advertising, or related field.
